I’m so happy that you’ve found your way here!
I’m a Carrum Downs based Birth Doula, walking alongside families across the Mornington Peninsula and South East Melbourne.
However your babe chooses to enter this world…vaginally, caesarean, unmedicated, epidural, induction, water birth…my job stays the same: to make sure you feel empowered, informed, and deeply held through all of it.
If you're exploring the world of pregnancy and birth, you're in the right place. This journey is big, beautiful, and sometimes a little overwhelming, but don't worry, I’ve got you!
Yep, even for the midnight texts about that weird cramp you just had.
So, take a deep breath, explore, and reach out when you're ready.
I can’t wait to connect and walk alongside you in this incredible season of your life.

Hi,
I’m Romy
With love,
Romy xx
I don’t care how you birth, I care how you feel while you’re doing it
Birth doesn't have to follow the plan to be one of the most positive, powerful experiences of your life. What it has to be is yours, and that's where I come in. I'm here to sit beside you on your couch and answer the questions you've been quietly carrying (or too nervous to ask anyone), to walk you through your options gently and honestly until they actually make sense, and to make sure every decision along the way is truly your own.
I'll be honest with you, I'm not the kind of Doula who takes over and does everything for you, because I have watched what happens in the moment a woman realises she was capable all along, and I’ll be damned if I don’t get to see you have that moment too! You'll be in the driver's seat the whole way through. But don't worry, I'll be right there to back you up: advocating beside you whenever the room needs reminding whose birth this is, protecting your space and your beautiful bubble, and holding a deep, steady belief in you through all of it. Whatever your birth brings, you will not face a single second of it alone.

Three ways to be held
The Doula Date
Three hours. All your questions.
No strings.
Held
Every contraction, every decision, every moment: held.
Haven
Everything in Held, plus a soft landing at home.
What I actually do at your birth
When labour begins, I come to you when you feel you need me, and from that moment, you don't hold anything alone.
I'll set your space up the way birth likes it: big lights off, fairy lights on, candles lit.. Your birth preferences won't live folded in a bag; everyone who needs to know them will know them, and if we're birthing in hospital, every midwife and doctor who walks through that door will be handed a copy. I'll keep you and your partner nourished and hydrated, and make sure you both rest where you can. If I sense you're feeling a little stuck, or the room needs something different, I'll gently suggest a new position or a change of scene, whatever shifts and lifts the energy. When your mind needs somewhere soft to land, I'll talk you through a meditation. If the shower is where you need me, then I'm in the shower (literally. I will get in the shower with you).
Your birth is not about me, or my beliefs about birth, I’m there for you. I'm there to protect your space and the beautiful bubble around you, and support the way that you want to birth. You'll find me at the edges of the room, guarding the quiet, pouring love into you when you need it, and giving you, your body, your partner and your baby room to do what you're doing. Never in the way, but always close enough to reach.
And if labour takes you somewhere deep or scary, I'll go down there with you. I'll stay beside you in there, and I'll walk you back out. I'll be the one who makes you laugh when you were sure you couldn't.
I'll catch your vomit (yes, this has happened before). I'll wipe your tears. I'll stroke your hair for hours on end.
From the first surge to the first feed, I am your constant.
